A Small Victory is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering support to newly bereaved parents by providing ‘Loss Kits’ which will gently guide them in creating memories to last a lifetime. Founded by Liz and Ethan Allen, A Small Victory also pledges to open their hearts and lend an ear to all who are in need of an understanding friend.

Miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss directly touch the lives millions of families. Every year, roughly 576,000 babies die between 14 weeks gestation and one month of life. There are more deaths due to miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss than there are to cancer (565,000/year) or heart attacks (460,000/year). And that is not even including the one in four who miscarry in the first trimester of pregnancy. There are literally thousands of families out there who need support so that they can have a healthy approach to grief, and they need hope to know that they can live on remembering their lost children.

A Small Victory relies on generous contributions and devoted support from the community to continue the services they provide. It is their hope and dream, that their organization will be A Small Victory for bereaved parents everywhere by turning misfortune into memories.

A Small Victory has recently made several changes to our Loss Kits and the services provided. We have a few new board members and new areas to the site. Please be sure to update your bookmarks. A Small Victory also has a new logo. We feel this logo more accurately represents A Small Victory. We would like to acknowledge our volunteer graphic designer David Heutmaker for his beautiful work. Please read more about the Tree at asmallvictory.org/about. Please enjoy our new site and, as always, feel free to contact A Small Victory at any time.
