Ethan and Liz Allen are native Washingtonians currently residing in Covington. Ethan and Liz met via the internet while Liz was attending college in Auburn. In July 2004, they experienced the stillbirth of Janell Victory to which A Small Victory is named after. In addition to Janell, Ethan and Liz have welcomed two other children into their family. Phoenix is their "rainbow child" and was born in September 2005. The Allen's say there is something special about him, "He's kind and sensitive and is a constant reminder of how precious life is." Two years after Phoenix's birth, in September 2007, Ethan and Liz's family became complete with the birth of Scarlett Evangeline. Scarlett is a joyous baby who provides the family with many squeaky laughs.

Ethan is a very talented entrepreneur who owns and operates a successful home business. Liz devotes her time to their children and A Small Victory. The spirit of Janell is always with them.
