Miscarriage Kit:
The Miscarriage Kit is still in development and is not yet offered at this time. It is intended for parents who miscarry before the baby has grown enough to hold or see, for losses generally in the first trimester. We’d like to add another book specifically for early losses, if you have one that had helped you, please suggest it or any other additions to liz@asmallvictory.org. Donate now to the Miscarriage Kit project here – Designation Code: MiscKit
Our Miscarriage Kit contains:
A Stuffed Animal - a stuffed animal represents the baby the family never had the chance to hold or see, it gives them the opportunity to hold something tangible |
Mailing List Postcard - this postcard sent to the post office and it stops most baby related mail from being delivered to the bereaved family |
Remembrance Charm- sterling silver remembrance charm is a simple gift that can always be worn, it is gender neutral and is subtle enough to be worn with out people asking questions |
Journal - a journal to write thoughts and feelings, we suggest parents write as soon as possible, even if it hurts, because memories start to fade quickly |
Certificate of Life - (not needed for neonatal loss) many states do not offer birth certificates for miscarriages and stillbirths, this is intended to be used in place of that because we believe that your baby was born and lived |
Mrs. Duck And The Woman by Kara L.C. Jones, A story about the loss of a child and how to start over again after that loss. This book teaches compassion and understanding while making us feel that we are never alone. |
